Three Egyptian Banks Ranked Among Brand Finance's Top 500 Banking Brands Worldwide for 2025

Brand Finance has released its list of the Top 500 Banking Brands for 2025, and it includes three Egyptian banks: National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Commercial International Bank (CIB), and Banque Misr, all ranked among the world’s most valuable banking brands.

According to the report:

National Bank of Egypt ranked 258th globally.Commercial International Bank (CIB) came in at 372nd.Banque Misr secured the 350th position globally.

For the fourth consecutive year, the total brand value of the world’s top 500 banking brands has continued to grow. However, this is the first time in the past four years that the ranking has recorded double-digit percentage growth.

After years of modest increases—averaging around 2%—the 2025 list shows a 13% rise in total brand value, making it the highest growth rate since 2019, when brand value increased by 15%. The combined value of all brands on the list now stands at USD 1.6 trillion.
