CBE: Banks are opening free accounts with no minimum balance until the end of April on the occasion of World Financial Inclusion Day.

In celebration of “Arab Financial Inclusion Day,” bank employees across Egypt are stepping outside their branches to deliver a range of services to the public until the end of April, under the auspices and supervision of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Opening bank accounts for citizens free of charge, with no minimum balance requirement.Issuing prepaid cards.Issuing debit cards.Providing e-wallets.Activating internet and mobile banking services.Conducting financial literacy and awareness activities.
Bank employees will be present at accessible public locations like universities, clubs, youth centers, and more. This initiative is supported by the CBE’s strong partnerships to promote financial inclusion in collaboration with various entities, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Council for Women.
