إطلاق مركز بيانات جديد في الإمارات بتكلفة 2 مليار درهم

من المرتقب أن يتم تطوير المركز على مراحل، وستكون شركة التكنولوجيا العالمية العملاقة المستأجر الرئيسي، حيث تستخدم جزءاً كبيراً من الطاقة الاستيعابية التي يوفرها لتشغيل خدماتها السحابية، واتاحة الخدمات الرقمية التي تحتاج إلى قدرات حوسبة كبيرة ومتطورة.

تم الإعلان عن “مركز البيانات فائق السرعة” يوم الثلاثاء خلال زيارة الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدفاع، رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة دبي للمستقبل، لأسبوع دبي للذكاء الاصطناعي في متحف المستقبل.

وقال الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم: “يمثل هذا المشروع استثمارًا كبيرًا في البنية التحتية الرقمية، مما يعزز ريادة دبي في تبني أحدث التقنيات والابتكارات والخدمات الرقمية”.

وأضاف: “البيانات هي ثروة المستقبل وأساس التقدم التكنولوجي. ونحن ملتزمون بدعم الشركات المحلية والدولية في تسخير التكنولوجيا بطرق مبتكرة لخدمة مجتمعاتنا”.

يمثل مشروع مركز البيانات الضخم فائق الأداء الذي أطلقته شركة “دو” خطوة مهمة في دعم تطوير البنية التحتية الرقمية المتطورة في دولة الإمارات. يعكس هذا المشروع التزام الشركة بتوسيع نطاق أعمالها إلى ما هو أبعد من الخدمات والمنتجات الأساسية، حيث يتجاوز مركز البيانات حدود البنية التحتية التقليدية.

يأتي إطلاق هذا المركز في إطار تحقيق أهداف خطة دبي السنوية لتسريع تبني الذكاء الاصطناعي، التي أطلقها الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم في عام 2024. تركز الخطة على إعداد الكفاءات الوطنية، وتوظيف الذكاء الاصطناعي في القطاع الحكومي، وإنشاء مراكز البيانات في دبي، مما أدى إلى نقلة نوعية في هذا المجال وزيادة كبيرة في الاستثمارات.

سيتم تشييد المركز لدعم مجموعة واسعة من التقنيات المستقبلية، مما يعكس الإمكانات الهائلة لقطاع الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات في المنطقة، ويعزز الطلب المتزايد على قدرات الذكاء الاصطناعي والخدمات السحابية السيادية.

تدير شركة “دو” حالياً مجموعة من مراكز البيانات في مختلف أنحاء دولة الإمارات، حيث توفر هذه المراكز بيئة آمنة وقابلة لتطوير التطبيقات والخدمات الرقمية.

بفضل البنية التحتية العالمية التي تمتلكها “دو”، يمكن للمؤسسات نقل أنظمتها إلى الخدمات السحابية بشكل أكثر فعالية، مع ضمان التحكم في العمليات التشغيلية والموقع والأمن، مما يعزز السيادة الرقمية.
